A Wedding On Mackinac Island..

Location: Mackinac Island, Michigan (coloring by Kara...)
Thanks Sarah for trusting me to capture this day for you!

Nigerian Bliss

I had the extreme privilege of photographing my friend Babatunde's wedding. He is from Nigeria and his wife from the Dominica (not to be confused with Dominican Republic everyone!). I was amazed at the colors and cultural dress. It was surreal to step outside of the cultural box and experience this evening.

Glory and Jeremiah

Location: Union Cemetery, Steubenville Ohio

Princess K and her best friend Olivia (the pig)...

"Hi....Mom" "DaDa...Work" "New..BeBe" ..Oh the power of the two word sentence. An uncomplicated compilation of tiny words. Tiny words that convey way more than an entire paragraph from the Constitution. A simplistic world uncomplicated by the trials and tribulations of life as we know it...

Oh Boy Baby!!

Black and white pictures draw me for some reason. I think it may be because back in the day black and white photos were all you could take. The beginnings of a revolution that has gone far beyond the old style photos that I have of my grandmother and great grandmother. A glimpse in to a world where you have to picture your own color.

Better Homes and Great Decorators....

Had the chance to take some photos for someone of which I hold in high regard in the interior decorating world. Although you won't find her on HGTV, she has mad skills in this arena.

Addicted to Beverages...

Was on Flickr the other day and found some awesome coffee splash photos. Well, that prompted the birth of an obsession. For a few days all that I could think about at work, at home, in the car and well basically 24/7 was what new experiment I could attempt in this venue. I went through about a million paper towels and various other cleaning products to capture what I thought was the perfect splash. From there I moved onto photos of simply pouring instead of the all out exciting splash. It was actually kind of liberating to make a mess on purpose.
